Kevan’s research focuses on the ecological imaginary in fantasy and other creative forms. An academic consultant for BBC 4’s The Secret Life of Books, and a contributor to BBC Radio 3’s Free Thinking, he has much experience as a spoken word performer, panellist, and guest speaker. He blogs as the Bardic Academic.

Karen is an interdisciplinary artist working primarily with moving image. She has shown work nationally and internationally and her recent films have been commissioned by LUX moving image, Collective Gallery Edinburgh, and The Centre for Research Collections at Edinburgh University. 

Karen has been actively engaged in the expanded field of moving image as a filmmaker, programmer, researcher, and tutor for over 20 years. She has also curated a number of screenings and events for various institutions including Tramway, Glasgow, and VBKÖ, Austria.

James is a practicing artist with a diverse practice that originated in drawing, sculpture and more traditional photography, but is currently focused upon ideas and opportunities presented by digital image making (both still and moving).
